Since 1956, Bassett Communications has been a family-owned-manufacturer’s-representative firm based in Southern California. We provide sales, marketing, and services in the wireless communications sector and mainly in the land-mobile-radio communications space. We partner with leading providers in the industry to provide our customers comprehensive and bundled solutions for their communication-systems needs. Our brand is recognized in the industry among integrators, distributors, consultants, and end users in the region. We provide sales and services in California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, and New Mexico.

Craig Bassett
Owner / Territory Manager, Southern California, Santa Barbara, Bakersfield
Bassett Communications is a second generation company. It was started in 1956 by William E Bassett. Craig joined the firm in July of 1976 and has seen the change from Bassett & Moore to Bassett Sales to what is now Bassett Communications, which was created in 2018.
Sean Melia
Vice President of Operations / Territory Manager, Southern Nevada and Southern California
Sean began his career in wireless communications in 2001 with Transcrypt International as their Latin American sales manager. He then worked for Telex Radio Dispatch (Bosch Security) for 6 years and managed the sales channel for the East, Central and Latin American regions. In 2010, Sean served as a sales manager in the western region for Kenwood Systems Group before starting his current role with Bassett Communications in 2012. Previously, Sean received his bachelor’s degree in history in 1991 from Tufts University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management (ASU) in 2001. In his free time, Sean enjoys surfing and exercising.

With nearly two decades in the communications industry, Mark has navigated diverse roles, consistently dedicated to customer satisfaction and sales channel excellence. His extensive experience spans reputable manufacturers like Icom, Kenwood, and Hytera, complemented by his Manufacturer Representative tenure at Bassett Communications. As a seasoned veteran and proud grandfather of two, Mark thrives in the dynamic and intricate landscape of today’s wireless communications technology.
